Introducing Outlaw, Canterbury’s latest resident. Formerly home to Robin Hood Antiques, Owner Nick Zaharias decided to give new life to this historic building, and has named the venue as a tribute to the former custodian; the original heroic outlaw.

Nick has left the original façade of the building, and weaves in a fresh approach to the café experience. For years Canterbury has been celebrated for its laid back disposition where high-tea reigns supreme, and so setting sight on a fresh future, it will take an outlaw to modernise the area.

Just as the legendary Robin Hood stood for the people, so does this Outlaw. Coffee is extracted so its inherent nuances shine, and that certainly did with my Ethiopian Tade GG, which was both juicy and sparkling as a short black. Nick’s been in the café scene for years, and is committed to delivering a quality experience to his customers, and for many lactose-free milk coffee drinkers, he’s recommending Oat as an alternative because it textures far better, without changing the flavour of his House Blend. They've recently started serving breakfast, along with the staple pastries and toasties.

Outlaw serves the people from as early as 6:30 am on weekdays, and 8 am on weekends. Find Nick and the team at 200 Canterbury Rd, Canterbury.
