My Other Brother
Can you believe My Other Brother has been open for 6 years now? It’s not only a sign of the times, but a true testament to the success of this Camberwell café.
Back in 2013, Julien Moussi was looking at creating the next generation of cafes to kick off what was to become a journey of success and a growth. He went on to open almost a dozen more venues, establish a roastery, marry the love of his life, and become a father!
Today I pay tribute to this ‘not so annoying brother’, who has contributed a family of venues, to Melbourne’s world renowned café culture.
Having kicked off café debut at ‘My Annoying Brother’ in Melbourne’s inner-north, a move to the leafy eastern suburbs was a great place to start his empire.
Behind the main thoroughfare of Burke Road, the venue faces out onto a busy carpark, which serves as a Market space on weekends. Foodies far and wide venture out this way to capture their colourful meals, which are both nutritious and instaworthy.
Food offerings are fresh and vibrant, with local favourites like the Nutella Hong Kong Waffles, Crunchy French Toast with roasted stone fruit and salted caramel, Smashed Kabocha Pumpkin with feta, Dukkah poached eggs, and beetroot hummus.
Coffee is care of their roasting arm, Inglewood, with the Roosevelt Blend for milk based coffee, and rotating singles for black coffee. The El Salvadorian Himalaya Estate made for a fruity espresso, with hints of stewed fruit.
