Left Field

Four years on, and this Carnegie hotspot is still going strong.

Left Field was always going to be that neighbour hub. It’s set in the backstreets of an ever-growing south eastern suburb. Its pale timber furnishings, dotted greenery, and cool grey tones brought a sprinkling of Richmond to the outer suburbs, and set a trend for the area.

It’s the health focused brunch, and coffee that many line up for, and more often than not, that line wraps around the venue’s corner location. Health conscious locals enjoy their Smashed Avo on Quinoa Toast here, served with Beetroot Pesto. Many ride across from the neighbouring velodrome for a post-session protein hit - care of the Slow Cooked Pulled Pork Benedict with Poached Eggs, and Apple Cider Hollandaise. The evolving nature of coffee has seen an increase in customers requesting oat milk, which has led to the recent addition of it to the alternative milks option. It may seem ‘out of left field’, but this suburban gem is worth a trek down the Nepean Hwy for. Find it at 358 Koornang Road. Open daily from 7am - 4pm, and from 7:30am - 4pm on weekends.
