Flovie Florist Cafe
The latest addition to Melbourne café scene was born out of a shared passion for two living organisms in nature: Coffee, and Flowers.
When Ji from White Mojo Balwyn needed flower arrangements for his tables on Mother’s Day last year, he contacted Valerie Wong for her professional assistance. The flowers arrived, and the feedback was incredible. This gave Ji a brilliant idea: Why not bring the two together? Ten months on, the dream became reality.
Flovie is a tribute to flowers, life, and coffee. The name was inspired by the French word for life and flowers are a symbol of happiness and abundance. Flowers not only brighten our day, but they brighten our worlds.
You’ll be feeling an abundance of gastronomic pleasure here at Flovie. Their curated menu has a modern Australian theme, with Asian fusion. Think Cha Siu Pulled Pork & Eggs Benny with Mandarin hollandaise; French Toast Casserole with coconut puree and flower essence caviar; and their delicious Black Forest Soufflé Hotcakes with cherry chocolate ganache, mascarpone Chantilly; and mouth-watering Cherry Compote.
Coffee is sourced from White Mojo, with their natural Ethiopian Guji as today’s single origin offering.
What I appreciate most about Flovie, is that it’s a different concept, focusing on two things I love about life… Coffee and Flowers.
Located around the corner from Melbourne Uni, you’ll find Flovie open daily on Queensberry Street, Carlton.
