It is dripping with style, and I’m soaking in its delightfulness.
Drip café is brought to us by husband and wife duo, Ali and Hannah El Halabi. After testing the water at Poncho in Bentleigh, the couple decided to bring their hospitality prowess to Cheltenham just over 3 months ago.
The space was designed by Elvin Tan, takinginspiration from Parisian cafes, with its simple style, and detailed features. Hues of blue and white surround the well-lit venue, highlighting gold trimmings and terrazzo tiles.
Heavily influenced by Middle Eastern cuisine, the menu has flavours which include labneh, dukkah, rose water, orange blossom, and freekeh. A signature dish is the "Knafeh French Toast", made from cornflake crumbed brioche filled with semolina custard, and bathed in rose water syrup.
Coffee is sourced from Inglewood, with the current Rwandan single origin exhibiting sweet honey and berry highlights as an espresso.
Open 7 days a week, Drip café can be found at 88 Chesterville Road, Cheltenham.
